The Mazda Mx5 Mk2
When Mazda launched their 2 seater back in 1989, no one could have predicted it would become the best-selling roadster in automotive history. Co-designed with Ford it was a conscious attempt to reawaken the spirit of all the great British roadsters of the 60’s and 70’s. The version we still have is the second generation model. These cars are straightforwardly honest with naturally aspirated 1.8 litre engines. But the power to weight ratios, the low driving position and, above all, the rear wheel drive make these cars a delight to drive. They have electric windows, radio-CD, aircon, heated seats, manual roof and manual transmission. Whether you’re an enthusiast, a driving junky, or just a nostalgic wanting open road romance, this is the car for you. A little piece of modern history.
